Relationship Ideas About Islamism

1) It seems there may be a need for a called or appointed Islamic caliph-type monarch or pope that receives funding from taxes or parishioners (sic). It can presided over any area with religious duties divined or submitted for by adherents. It can participate in government as adviser to a, hopefully, democratically elected prime minister(s) or president(s).

2) Asking for money as ransom is crass, asking for weapons is defeatist in light of known effectiveness of peaceful protest.  Asking for change in law and democratic opportunity is better.

3) In the effort to neutralize the terror threats, it is important that we discontinue the practice of bombing. In that area of the world, where a hill or a group of rocks carries historical significance due to the long standing efforts of civilization and known culture, we must remember that their land is their ancestral art.

4) It is important to go in and take offenders into custody to have their day in court. Youths must be instructed to “go home or to the orphanage” as many photographs show what appear to be involvement of young people. If the apparent children want to stay with their militia, they should be told, in their own language, that they could be better leaders making sure the child-age people make to somewhere outside of jail.

5) If it is legal, as any solution must be, they might be kept in cells with a translator and lawyer(s) who can help them in the law-building system that I, as an American, know the court system can be.

6) Proper translation is an important issue.   There is a doctrine in Islam that, to my mind, states 'we may save our belongings from "others" or "friends" or "ego" to keep our "preciousness"', because in the name of unity under the Christian God, family heirlooms were being destroyed, i.e. the golden calves, revered statues and lineage records.  "Jihad", to my mind, indicates a mixture of memory, possession, and desire= let us enact a peaceful path of choice and care toward our shared past and future.  And "-bad" is so like "-ly", like Islama-ly, of or like Islam.  We must hope for translation in the best spirit of each language concerned.

7) The rights of "freedom of speech" and "freedom of press" allows each of us to express ourselves safely and as convincingly as we are personally able.  We are permitted to pamphlet, picket, and call out within lawful decibel level on public property to convince our community members of our beliefs.  We can all share our concerns and cherished thoughts this way, as desired.

8) The concepts of "liberty" and "freedom of religion" are ideas we must strive to cherish, convey and uphold.  It is okay to have radical feelings.  It is okay to dedicate one's life to one's belief system.  It is not okay to effort to make decisions for an other: each of us has the right to decide belief decisions for one's self.  Taking, or even attempting to take, the life, liberty, religious choice and independence away breaks our desires as a community to be sensitive to each other and show respect.

Gook luck all, and keep peace alive.

I recognize now that "friends" has a contentious meaning in Judeo/Christian/Islam.
Since writing this piece I have witnessed KJV Deuteronomy 13:6-10 among other texts.
I apologize for my lack of awareness in World religions.
Still I value "friend" and I believe the term can recover it's sensibilities.
It is a translated word, no matter what and we must find our own meanings in life.
