If dyslexia appears as jumbling or dancing letters as one looks upon a text, a possible response is to calm the cones and rods of the body while perceiving such a text. Cones are said to perceive mainly color, while rods are said to perceive mainly black and white. I think that cones, and especially rods can wiggle and jump at the sight of written material for happiness at the idea of gaining information and learning. I am suggesting a meditation. One might direct one's self as follows: "I know it is fun to see things and gain information. I know it is exciting to read and learn. I am instructing my cones and rods to calm down and relax so that I might see and read more comfortably."
See this blog about "epouges" rod bundles that I think are especially helpful to add to this exercise in 5 Senses on February 1, 2011.

At turn of 2001 to 2002 I wrote one of my first art pieces about the body as language sculpture (in my 2014 book Nest); I wrote about the eyes' distress. My opinions are psychic observations, but I hope they may serve their purpose.
The vast tunnels into the nervous system bring messages of light and sight into the body. Covered by protective lens barriers, then flashing into the wide bowls of warm brain matter to the narrowing optic nerve tube, and on to the brains for analysis. The eyes, like the rest of the body, have a magnificent ability to self regulate, grow and improve. Two areas of recent exploration are macular degeneration/retinopathy and cataracts/glaucoma.
Macular degeneration and retinopathy seem to be, in reality, "hot spots" in the eyes' metabolism Energy streams, rather than flowing directly into the pupil's center, which is the eye's "blackhole", divert and flow to the side, causing the small "dots" of occlusion. The resulting occlusions are areas that are not well channeled to the cones and rods that perceive vision, and so they appear as a "block". When the eye is investigated these "hot spots" may bump into the retina at the back of the eyeball to cause tears or sears. These can be caused by a number of thing that may need the examination of an eye care professional or ophthalmologist. Two common causes can be cared for at home. If the occlusion is caused by a bit of debris floating in the eye material, it can be directed out, consciously, by simply holding a hand or tissue in front of the eye, there is no need to touch the eye, and instruct the living tissue of the eye to release and expel the "hot spot" of debris from the eye, this is a good technique to try first. Another common but easily corrected difficulty is simply air streams that have created an extra tube in the lens, To care for this at home, after cleansing the eye with the above technique, one can tell the living eye tissue to mitigate itself by letting the "hot spot" of air swirl into an imaginary "figure eight" to simulate protein, then "dive out and into" the main pupil area and optic nerve. These techniques may be used regularly, as needed, until the body has learned to do it automatically for optimal eye health.
Cataract and glaucoma are often treated as two separate issues, but here we treat them as a similar problem of calcium accumulation in the fluid mass just behind the eye lens. Blood naturally carries calcium throughout the body as a strong agent for (ATP, or) energy movement. This calcium appears to pool in front of the macula. This may be a signal from the body to tell the individual that there is an availability for other uses according to the choice and values of that individual. A healthcare professional may be able to assist the individual in the mitigation of this nutrient. One way to treat this at home is to "ask" the body where the available calcium might be used. This accumulation may be "in the way" to indicate, for instance, a bone or skin fracture that can be quickly soothed if the individual consciously chooses to use it for that purpose. After asking the body, one "listens" for the body's own response and then "gives permission" to the body to proceed when a feeling of comfort has been achieved regarding use of the waiting pool of calcium. The individual then "allows" the body to flow the calcium to the decided site via the blood stream. Again, this is a technique that may be used repeatedly to "train" the body into knowledgeable health.
It is helpful to remember that our eyes are nerve centers that have unique metabolisms of their own and require proper nourishment for wellbeing. Simple techniques, such as those above, are easy to use and may be discussed with your eye care agent or professionals to perfect your visual acuity.
