Happy Birthday Celebration: Ancestors

In respect for kin and sacred others we

glorify the words, attitudes, and names

of the glorious family, biological and

otherwise, we belong to together and

alone. 

Each aspect of the self’s selection process

is vitalizing.  We learn more about ourselves

in our sacred multitude of paths, as we

join our self in the midst of those we love

and those who love us.  Or (we) can be taught 

to love with trustworthiness.  

They receive our wishes, if we send them.

Peanut Brittle

serves 6-8

2 c raw peanuts

1 c sugar

1/2 c corn syrup

Opt: pinch of salt

1 T firm coconut oil

1 t vanilla extract

2 t baking soda

1. lightly grease a baking sheet so it's ready

2. in a large glass bowl stir together peanuts, sugar, corn syrup and opt salt  place mixture in the microwave on high for 6-7 minutes until bubbly and transparent

3. stir in oil and extract  heat for another 2-3 minutes

4. remove from microwave and quickly stir in baking soda until foamy  immediately spread mixture onto lightly greased baking sheet

5. allow peanut brittle to cool for about 15 minutes  break into pieces  store in an air tight container
