SMG Update

SMG just became a striver to S1S.

oil with protein/carbs

I first noticed that I pared down and remodeled protein weight with oil on carbs and that oil on protein was weight/muscle gaining. Further I could tell others who have this phenomenon and I wondered what made the difference. It turns out, that it's a hemispheric issue.

Southern Hem style eats protein with oil to pare down muscle to grow it close to the bone and carbs with oil make muscles grow larger. Therefore, Southern Hem eats protein with no oil grows and carbs with no oil pares down.

Northern Hem style eats protein with oil to make muscles grow larger and carbs with oil to pare down muscle to grow it close to the bone. Therefore, Northern Hem eats protein with no oil to pare down and carbs with no oil to grow.

*Try pairing a bean oil, like soy for beans and protein; and a grain oil, like corn for grains and carbs.  If you resonate to this idea, experiment with types of oils.  Soy, Corn with DHA, Olive, Safflower, Nut or Seed...

(M) Learns to read just now.

May 21, 2022 Both hemispheres seem to respond with medium muscularly to protein, carbs and oil together, and both hems seem to change protein and carbs, without significant oil, into fat in the body.

THANKSGIVING

Thanksgiving is a great time to re-member our diversity and the goals we have as a country.  I am Thankful for my freedoms, especially to make art and speak my opinions and truths.  We are a group of many styles and backgrounds.  Our realities are unique and our perspective on things are enriching to learn about.  Thank you for accessing TheBeautifulDeity.blogspot.com.  Welcome.

THANKSGIVING

Wheat In Wine

Ble Au Vin

for each bowl prepare:

in a large pot,

1 or 2 seitan medallions

drained (recipe below)

brown in 1 or 2 T oil

about 20 minutes

while browning seitan,

prepare per serving

5 to 10 fingerling potatoes

coat in oil and bake at 350 degrees

about 30 to 40 minutes until tender

reserve potatoes in the oven

until plating

add to browned seitan

per serving

1 or 2 mushrooms

½ c pearl onions (find frozen)

2 or 3 garlic cloves

1 c celery chopped in 2” lengths

¼ c dry red wine

½ c vegetable broth

½ t herbs de Provence

add, without stirring in to

avoid over-cooking

¼ can puree'd navy beans

(puree in blender and pour

back into can to save)

1 t nutritional yeast (Trader Joe's

seems to be more vegan in

terms of what they grow the

yeast on)

simmer for 35 minutes or so

with a lid on

each serving, on a bed of

1 c fresh baby spinach

with potatoes and stew

add salt and potassium as desired

round desert with

¼ c pecans (or try Pecan Pie recipe below)

1 to 3 dried plums

per each serving

consider making extra

for leftovers and seconds

Seitan, plain

1 c Bob's Red Mill gluten powder

1 c water

start boiling a pot of water.

dry into wet, mix into a dough, form into a tube, cut into about 10 medallions.

Add to boiling water, boil for an hour with the lid off, turning occasionally. The medallions swell so leave room for growth.

Lift out to drain and place in a container, may be done the day before and left out overnight for recipe, to have the pot ready again and if there's no room in the fridge.

Something else good to do with this seitan recipe:

Cut each medallion into three parts and sprinkle with Lawry's and Tabasco, Kelly Jo Style, or baste with favorite bar-b-que sauce and bake on an oiled sheet pan for about 15-20 minutes.

THANKFUL EVERY DAY!

Pecan Pie 11/17/2019

½ c. sugar

½ c. brown sugar

½ c maple syrup or agave

¼ c. coconut oil or crisco

6 oz. firm silken tofu

¼ c. cold unsweetened milkies, like oat

2 T cornstarch

½ t salt

1 t vanilla extract

3 c pecan halves

In a 2 quart pan, mix together sugars, maple syrup/agave over a medium flame, stir often with a whisk, small bubbles, 10 minutes. Add coconut oil/crisco to melt, turn off heat.

Crumble tofu into a blender, with milkies, cornstarch, salt, puree until smooth, add vanilla.

Mix sugars, tofu mixture and pecans together, pour into pie crust (for pie crust try marie calendar's).

Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes, cool 2 hours before serving.

When I cooked this in a toaster oven, I doubled cook time and tented pie with tin foil half way through.

from a March 2008 “Toward Individuality” broad sheet:
Equity, so in fashion, but can it manifest in a real life situation?
No two are alike; this time in history has never happened before;
we're not the same in desire nor destiny; it's a case by case scenario.
Concatenation, the acknowledgment that things happen in a
connected chain of events, each one at least partially dependent on
the previous choices, is perhaps a more sane inclination. Our joys,
our obligations may be more delightful if we stop seeking with
coveting expectation to be treated as we perceive of another, and
start improving on our past actions.
FIND EQUITY.

Joyous Vegan Celebration

Eight Daily Food Groups

for the Vegan Curious

adapted from Joel Fuhrman, MD's DrFuhrman.com and the National Bestseller
Eat to Live, 2003, 2011 and Marco Borges'
The 22 Day Revolution, 2015

or, what to eat in a day:

  1. Beans- to help provide the protein and minerals, they are found to cleanse the system of waste, allowing for autophagy. About ¼ to 1 ½ c. depending desired size outcome, maybe more is necessary to support proper muscle health.

  2. Cooked Greens- another helper for minerals, supporting the body's electrical system. Provides chlorophyll and oxygen. About 2 c. or 1 pound+ goal.

  3. Fresh Fruit- provides fructose and nourishment to the brain and nerves. About 4 items, or 4 half cup servings.

  4. Garlic & Onion- to support sulfur for maintaining body's hygiene articulation. About 1/4 onion size portion.

  5. Mushrooms- for the support of anti-oxidants, well cooked fungi provide immunity boosting nutrients. Amount about the size of 3 button mushrooms.

  6. Nuts & Seeds- provides lipids and protein which support connective tissues. 1 to 3 oz. per day, more for more active needs. Add 1 T. flax seeds, soaked or ground for Omegas.

  7. Raw Vegetables- to give the body an array of vitamins and minerals=variety is best. Eat as much as you want, with a 1 pound+ goal.

  8. Starch- for supporting brain and to hydrate the being of the body. This category includes whole grain breads and grains, root vegetables, squashes. Depending on size outcome, try ½ – 2 c. or so. Add 1 T. tomato paste every other day or so.

Time between meals allows the pancreas to rest and regulate insulin.

Water replenishes electricity which controls the body's minerals and metabolisms.

Freezing starches enables them to partially turn from simple carbohydrates into fiber as they are reheated.

As a vegan for the past 17 years I hope I may insight you with my story. I didn't know why I might become vegan after several years of wondering. I knew something was amiss with how I was eating, and feeling. I thought, animals vegetables, and minerals, to my mind, are all basically sentient, or possessing and interpreting sensation. What is the difference between a calf and a cabbage and some calcium? The conclusion I came to was that I revere the shape of the figures differently. I am a speceisist. Here's my difficult time: I realized the sexual trafficking and imprisonment of infant and child-aged animals is horrific to me, and I think it is a sign of the basic sickness of our community's treatment of each other, including toward the animal handlers. I didn't realize this until I went vegan for a week at the beginning of a ten year commitment on my part. Think to your own childhood if you would. Notice the things on your plate. Maybe you, too, see that you can't tolerate, nor would you like to participate in and hunger for cruelty toward animals' bodies. Animals, vegetables, and minerals are praiseworthy and I hope we may interact with them with care and mentally healthy responsibility.
