:To mitigate a baby.

Babies, new science continues to show, can be made of various materials.  Mendelian Theory indicates that all life is generated from a cell which contained the growing materials before it split off from the parent body.  If child making material begins to take shape in a parent body, whether a biological or social parent, that parent must be aware of the various options to best suit itself.  If the materials are generated off that parent's body, the parent can refold and vacuum those materials back into itself.  Since each cell came from the previous cellular matter, an energy path can be shaped to
restore or mitigate the materials appropriately within the parent.  If the parent is a social parent, or did not biologically create the generating materials, those materials can be sent off the body the way it entered or otherwise placed in metabolizing channels to help it exit from the body. Folding it into itself or separating it as necessary to facilitate the movement to its proper place.  In the case of desiring a hybrid, with the understanding that the lineage will be shared, one offers materials that would be welcomed as a child.
As a culture we have used warfare as population control.  Perhaps this can be an unnecessary tactic as we learn to more closely self-govern the populous.
